Hi everyone,
This is just an update to the last message. The jerseys are still NOT in. Once again, I apologize. I chose Hank's because they said they could do them in 2 weeks. Aapco could not pin down a time for me and had a lot of school uniforms to do. It is possible they will come in from Canada in a few more days and be ready by Saturday. We can not count on this for sure though. The design is all made up. I will try to send it as an attachment for you guys to see. We will probably have to wear our old uniforms. Sorry! We have 2 or 3 extra ones from last year for those of you who weren't here last year. We may need to borrow a couple again. If you aren't playing Saturday and can lend a jersey, please bring it Wednesday. Also, if you aren't playing, try and wear a light jersey to practice, so we can scrimmage. I decided to have Hank's make the extra patches we need but not to mount them. I did this to save some money. The few people who got back with me, said they didn't care either way. A friend of mine has a sewing machine. I may see if she can help me sew them all on. If one person does them all, they will be more uniform. Last year, they all ended up in different spots on everyone's jereys. If I find it too difficult to do alone I may just mark on them where the patches should go and let people do their own. Would that be alright with you guys? Let me know what you think Wednesday. I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. Hopefully next year will run smoother. This one will be a learning experience. Once we get the new uniforms, we will set a date for team photos. Be prepared to come a 1/2 to an hour early that day.
The roster for this weekend is full as of right now. If any spots open up, I will let you know. If you are scheduled to play and can't make it, Please let me know. Jen and Jessica Bush, Erica, Janet and Kristie have all been added since my previous email. I hope I got everyone that wanted to play. If not, I am sorry. I will bring a printed roster to practice. Check it for errors and let me know if any corrections need to be made. ( name spelling, etc.) We will try to go over all of the positions and things for the game. Think of any questions or issues you may have before hand so we can get everyone squared away for Saturday. I have some more printouts. They deal with specific positions and strategies. I will try to bring them Wednesday.
Don't forget to bring your last few ads and any money owed to practice. This Wednesday (tomorrow the 17th) is the deadline for ads and artwork. (Kathy, I got yours). See you all tomorrow. |
